Puddingstone welcomes GRAMMY® Award-winning drummer and composer Dan Pugach and his nonet to the historic Redwood Library for an evening where music and image unfold together — as a live painter creates original work inspired by the performance in real time.

Pugach is a three-time GRAMMY nominee and three-time ASCAP Foundation Jazz Composer Award winner, whose latest album, Bianca Reimagined: Music for Paws and Persistence (2024, featuring Nicole Zuraitis), won the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. He was also the featured drummer on How Love Begins, the 2024 GRAMMY-winning album co-produced by Zuraitis and Christian McBride, and his debut, Dan Pugach Nonet – Plus One (2018), earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Arrangement for "Jolene." His nonet and big band have performed at Birdland, The Blue Note, Smalls Jazz Club, and the Chamber Music America National Conference. He holds degrees from Berklee College of Music and the City College of New York.
