A Vernon House Promenade: America at 250
Step inside Newport's historic Vernon House, once the headquarters of the Comte de Rochambeau, for an intimate 45-minute promenade through the American story. Across three mini performance lectures, artists in dance, music and history each ask the same question: What is American?
Revka Hovermale explores the question through dance. Clemens Teufel at the piano and Julian Ciany on drums bring it to life in music. Brandon Aglio shares the history through readings of historic documents. Together they connect the revolutionary past with the questions of today.
Tickets are $25. Space in each performance is limited.
